# Teca > Teca is an iPhone app for vinyl record collectors and DJs. Scan a sleeve to > identify the record and pick the pressing, keep your collection in 3D crates, > import your Discogs collection, let Apple Music suggest records for your > wantlist, and build DJ setlists from your own records. Early preview via > TestFlight, free for the first 1,000 members. Not a marketplace. Teca is operated by LOUIE & TODD INC. The pages linked below are the source of truth; this file matches them as of 29 September 2026. No launch date has been announced. What Teca does today: - Scan a sleeve. Point the iPhone camera at the front, back, barcode or label of a sleeve, or pick a photo. Teca identifies the record, helps you choose the exact pressing (label, catalog number, year, format), shows Discogs asking prices for reference, and adds it to your collection or wantlist in one tap. Sleeve photos are used only to identify the record and are not kept. - 3D crates. Browse your records the way you browse a crate: sleeves face out, one flick at a time. On iPhones that support AR you can place a crate in the room; the AR camera feed stays on the device. - Discogs import. Bring an existing Discogs collection and wantlist across by public username or by signing in on Discogs' own site. Discogs folders become Teca crates. Condition grades, notes and custom fields do not come over yet. - Send changes back to Discogs (BETA, off by default). Records and wants you add in Teca are added to your Discogs account, and Teca removes only what it added. - Apple Music. Connect it and Teca reads your library, playlists and recently played songs to suggest records for your wantlist or collection. Nothing is added until you say so. Needs an active Apple Music subscription on the device. - Wantlist. One tap away at the register, so you do not buy a double. - DJ setlists (BETA). Build a set from your own records; Teca estimates each track's BPM automatically, marked ≈. - Previews. 30-second track previews where available, with listen links out to streaming apps. Coming soon (not in the app yet; no date announced): - Vinyl setlist maker. Key, BPM and energy level for each track, how well it fits the track before it, and the transition between them, on iPhone. Values are estimates and will be marked ≈; key is given at 0% pitch. Availability and price: - Platform: iPhone only. There is no Android app yet. - Status: early preview. Install it through the public TestFlight link below. Teca is not on the App Store yet. The landing-page waitlist sends one note when access widens. - Price: free for the first 1,000 members. No ads, no in-app purchases, no marketplace, no commission. Teca does not sell records. - Account: Sign in with Apple. Delete your account any time from inside the app (Account > Delete account) or by emailing support. Deletion wipes your collection, wantlists, crates and setlists. Integrations at a glance: - Discogs: import works today; send-back is BETA. Optional. Teca is not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with Discogs; it uses Discogs' public API under their terms, and you can disconnect at any time. - Apple Music: works today. Optional; iOS asks your permission first. Teca does not store your listening history. - Spotify: coming soon. Access is by request for now.
